ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Alex, and I'm from a small bayou community in the Southern region of Louisiana. However, I've been traveling, camping, and backpacking since August '17. My grandparents were Cajun French, therefore I'm source for all Cajun jargon, but I only reveal it when provoked. I'm kidding. I'm actually very easy going, in addition to being low maintenance. Essentially, I'm just looking for an experience.
PHILOSOPHY
Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE OF COURSE.
At this point, I've only couchsurfed in Chicago and Buffalo, but both times were an absolute blast.
Interests
I love writing and reading above all else, however camping is a close third.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I consider myself a horror film enthusiast. Aside from that particular genre, I love Martin Scorsese films (like any other well-fed, breathing American).
Music: New wave, Solomon Burke, Sam Cooke, New Order, Don Mclean, Jim Croce, Father John Misty... I'm just going to give up now.
Graphic novels: Alan Moore, Ed Brubaker, Southern Bastards, Cosmic Odyssey, Frank Miller, Garth Ennis's The Punisher, Preacher
Books: The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Flaneuse, The Count of the Monte Cristo, Big Magic
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The hike to Mount Vesuvius and camping outside of Yellowstone.
Teach, Learn, Share
Certainly anyone who has a compelling story to tell.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The Cajun dialect
and toilet paper!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland
