Overview
About Me
I'm quiet but fun during a party. Have a sense of humor if I can say so myself.
I love hiking, going to new places and meeting new people (the latter I'm frequently shy to do, but I'm trying).
During down time I read books or watch something.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Soon there will come a time when I'll need accommodation during travels.
And a bit later I'm planning to host as well. Meeting new people this way sounds interesting. Diversity is also a plus, you never know what culture you'll be exposed to :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: speculative science fiction, harder = better, no specific ones, as it would be too long, but here are some authors: Peter Watts, Denis E. Taylor, Isaac Asimov, Clifford D. Simak, China Miéville, Roger MacBride Allen, etc.
Music: my taste is quite diverse: metal, jazz, blues, classical rock, some indie and pop
Movies: Avatar, K-Pax, Amistad, The Man from Earth, Dead Poets Society, Gattaca, Hotel Rwanda, The Pianist, list goes on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
5 months sabbatical in 2015, hiked all over Georgia :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I guide more junior software developers while learning for more senior ones.
I try to share my professional experience and other knowledge I may have, e.g. science, critical thinking skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, pleasant conversation, play tabletop games, I also play and GM pen-and-paper RPG games :)
