Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To improve my effectiveness as a teacher, get my teaching license, find a girlfriend (not necessarily on CS) and maybe buy a house. Get more gigs for my band and to suck the marrow of life.
ABOUT ME
I am a creative, analytical and adventurous person who enjoys trying new things and meeting new people.
I’m a big nature nerd - I love identifying organisms on walks. I play music and love to cook - I would love to do these things with hosts!
PHILOSOPHY
Pretend you know what you're doing...fake it 'til you make it.
From all of life, you get out what you put in!
Communication is key. Honesty opens doors!
Where ever you are, be there 100%
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I generally go on CS when I will be needing a bed in another city. I don't have my own place currently, but when I do (starting in June hopefully!) I would be down to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met Rohit Jais in Kolkata, India this summer, though I did not stay with him.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to count.
Recently I've loved the movies Mary and Max, the Watchmen, Stranger than Fiction, the Truman Show, almost anything with Tom Hanks. I also love Disney movies and other cartoons!
Music: I really like folk-y rock from all eras as well as complex, weird avant-garde stuff. Lately I've been listening to Tom Jones (new album), Kurt Vile, Ponytail, Ben Folds, Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Juana Molina and many others.
I really like realistic fiction or non-fiction books. Personal essays and pop-science are big in my world. I've recently read David Sedaris' Naked and the book White Tiger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The many concerts I've been too: from mosh pits in suburban basements to big outdoor arena shows and festivals.
Israel: my first trip abroad
And India: living for a night in a Bishnoi village in Rajasthan, eating authentic foods and hiking in the desert with village kids, and then contemplating forming a commune at Ter Kadamba in Vrindavan.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know lots of random stuff about Biology and Ecology, both of which I hope to teach some day.
I've done a lot of thinking about religion and social phenomena that relate to the destruction of the environment we're committing.
I'm always willing to learn anything and everything. Teach me!
