About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to learn how to live in the present with harmony between myself and the world, to make this world a happier and safer place, and to share my knowledge with the people I meet. I'm keen on exploring the world around and my inner world, learn new cultures and languages, and broaden my horizons!
I believe that everyone we meet along the way in our life teaches us something and we also teach them. Everything happens for a reason. Namaste!
ABOUT ME
I am an outgoing person, passionate and positive. I enjoy meeting new people and socializing in general. Traveling and learning new cultures are my greatest passions.
Along with that, I'm always trying to step out of my comfort zone, live the present, find harmony in life and also make this world a better place. Having taught English for the past four years made me more empathetic and creative.
Currently, I'm a Fulbright scholar, teaching conversation Russian in Lewis&Clark college in Portland, USA. I also teach English online.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As for hosting, I'd love to do it in the future when I have my own place spacious enough to host surfers. Now, I'm renting a room and it's impossible for me to host.
I started off my CS experience in May 2017 in the USA. I had three lovely hosts in NYC and SF. I'd definitely say that staying with locals, talking to them and exchanging experience/opinions/ideas is the best way not only to travel but also enrichen your life and broaden your horizons.
CS for me is a way of travel in this world and by travel I mean seeing and living my life like a local, soaking up their worldview and culture, sharing with them what I've learned along the way.
Looking forward to many more joyful encounters and adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books
Call me by your name, the Lord of the Rings, A Single Man, Gattaca, Her; Xavier Dolan's and Woody Allen's movies.
I'm fond of different kinds of music, especially electronic music (deep house, techno, trance, ambient), R'n'B, pop, jazz, and classical (Tchaikovsky, Mozart).
One of the last books that inspired me was 2150 A.D. by Thea Alexander
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2010 when I was volunteering in Switzerland I was a part of an eco-project. We built shelters for insects and especially for bees which population had dramatically decreased back then.
I gave up smoking which is truly amazing, to be honest, as I had been doing that for almost seven years.
In the future, I'd like to jump with a parachute, live in Italy for three months, start some educational volunteer projects or open my own school, climb a mountain, explore the great outdoors and some day complete a long-term hiking tour in the USA or Canada.
As you can see, there's so much to do and yet to come!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you English and Russian.
It would be cool if someone could teach me Italian, German or French.
I'm also keen on human design and can share this knowledge with you.
