About Me

Since graduating from Sheffield university I've been travelling as much as I can and meeting incredible people everywhere I go! I enjoy a good conversation - particularly literary, philosophical and political, and am hoping to be exposed to stimulating new ideas and philosophies. I love immersing myself in new cultures and want to use travel to broaden my mind and meet people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. I love cooking (vegetarian) and am hoping to both share and learn new recipes during my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to immerse myself in the culture of the countries I visit, and I feel the best way to do this is to meet and get to know and understand local people. I also want to exchange ideas, culture, food and entertainment with the widest range of people possible, and couchsurfing seems the perfect opportunity.

I am finally able to host at my place in Québec City, and am looking forward to paying forward the immense kindness and generosity that I've been shown while travelling!

I don't ask for silly things like a password but I would at least ask you to read my profile and not just send copy/paste requests. I won't bother replying if it's a one line copy & paste job, sorry. Cheers :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited the north of India alone for a month. While this is not a massive achievement compared to most travellers, the experience fuelled my passion for travel and pushed me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to engage with people and travel freely and impulsively. Therefore this trip was 'amazing' in that it inspired me to want to travel, and I have since done several similar trips to Canada, Japan, Morocco and around Europe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fairly fluent in French despite having a ridiculous English accent, so would be happy to practice with or help anyone learning French. I am an English teacher and happy to help out anybody learning English. I am also passionate about cooking and love to learn and share recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a degree in English and work as an English teacher and can therefore help with written/spoken English for people who are learning. Other than that I can offer you a warm bed for the night, a place to rest and a good chat!
