About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bring free education to the world

ABOUT ME

I am a guy who is generally a happy puppy. I find life quite intriguing and people interesting. Generally, I like to do things; being proactive makes me feel worthwhile, particularly if I am involved in a meaningful project. I like to drift around and meet people who are passionate about what they do. In my experience it is the best way to learn something and enrich my world perspective.

PHILOSOPHY

A society grows great when an old man plants the seed of a tree he will not see to sit in the shade of - an old Greek saying which has always inspired me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to help do anything that might be helpful. I have done some WOOFing and enjoyed helping out on peoples farms so am quite happy to break a sweat for good folks. I am very happy to see if the project I run (Ragged University) would be useful for people as it is designed to facilitate those who love their work and subject.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a couch surfing virgin so I have not any tales of experiences for you. I do want to get some positive stories to share though

Interests

Education, science, medicine, biochemistry, philosophy, theology, art, cooking, swimming, natural spaces. I am open to new experiences and wandering past my own borders.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically I like instrumental stuff like ambient or classical; this said I am a fan of most genres once the quality parts are pointed out to me. Filmwise, my favourates are clustered around the mid to late seventies with those long incidental shots and lack of music saturation. Books; I just love most things which have been put to print !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have watched a child learn how to walk. This blows me away...

Teach, Learn, Share

I shall just list and you can grab: Science, medicine, biochemistry, philosophy, theology, art, secretarial, organisational, cooking, library skills. What can I do to help; I am very happy to try and be useful.
