I'm outdoorsey- I work outside and play outside. I'm a wildlife biologist in Kaua'i, but my roots reside in Michigan, so that midwestern humor slips out on occasion.

I spend most of my free time running, hiking, snorkeling, surfing, reading or painting. Im always up for learning something new, meeting new people, but sometimes it's just nice to sit on the beach too.

I have a few shelves of books, some of which are currently out on loan. A few authors include Vonnegut, Chabon, LeGuin, Asimov, Feynman, Green, Murakami, Robbins and many more. It's a bit of a cluster as far as collections go, but a good variety.

I have had the honor of handling wildlife and studying their movements, behaviors and habits. Nature is amazing.

I can teach you about tropical fish, naive birds, baking, popcorn making, knitting, or surfing. I love learning about new cultures, languages, food and lifestyles. I am all about sharing books. My book collection is a transient one- I'm always giving them away and borrowing others.

I will gladly cook a meal and a batch of popcorn. Even those who swear they dislike kettle corn have been turned to the sweet and crunchy side.
