ABOUT ME

I'm an avid learner and I love trying out new things(especially when it comes to food. I love food!)(I'm also a big fan of brackets)

I'm easygoing, fun and full of energy, and though I hate to say it, I guess "perky" is an accurate description of my personality. "Whimsical" also works, and has the advantage of being a tad more dignified...

I have a caustic sense of humor, more often than not applied at myself, and appreciate a good banter between friends; the sharpest and wittiest, the better.

I'm not a full-on redbull-snorting cheerleader all the time though, and although I've often been caught singing to myself in unlikely places,curling up in bed with a good book, movie or daydream are also among my favorite ways to pass time.

That's a hint to my second, not-quite-hidden nature: I'm a nerd, hooked on knowledge and trivia. I'm fascinated by any new information I might gather, and passionate about sharing this with others.

I talk a lot and think even more: the only thing likely to leave me speechless is art, but I recover pretty quickly :)

I'm a hardcore listener and would do pretty much anything for my friends.

I look forward to meeting people from all over the world and share their experiences, and I'm pretty sure CS is the perfect place for that :)

So far I've only surfed: once I settle in one place, I hope to be able to host and repay the kindness I was shown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I'm still amazed by the incredible kindness and energy CSers bring to one another. I sincerely hope I can get more and more involved with this wonderful endeavour.

Interessen

I love reading: nothing particularly unique about that, except perhaps the sheer volume of my reading list...

Dancing is the only form of exercise I ever partake in, which explains my enthusiasm when doing so :)

I adore food: I'm an excellent cook and an even better eater.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

My favourite writers: Salman Rushdie, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde (with special mentions to Dickens, Jane Austen and Philip Pullman)

Favourite films: LOTR trilogy, Hero (Zhang Yimou), Howl's moving castle (anything by Miyazaki, really), Center Stage, Bring it On.... I wasn't kidding when I said I was a perky nerd :)

I have a very eclectic taste when it comes to music: I'll listen to anything that makes me want to laugh, cry, sing, shout or dance. And I'll dance to anything that has a beat.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Sunrises and sunsets in Paris, when the Seine turns a deep indigo color with hints of velvety purples, and the sun is low and red and glints off the water in golden sparks... Must have seen dozens of those, but they get me every time.
