About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Stay on top of this crazy awesome life.
ABOUT ME
I work for an amazing open-source hardware project-sharing website (Hackster.io), as community manager and resident maker. I've had the pleasure of being an Artist in Residence at Autodesk/Instructables, abd I lurk around hackerspaces - in SF, it's Noisebridge, though my heart is still with Ann Arbor's AHA! Shop. I like art, electronics, languages, playing music, and learning. I aim to single-handedly resurrect holography as an art genre.
Mostly vegetarian, but realistic, respectful, and adventurous.
PHILOSOPHY
So it goes...
and in sentiment:
"Feeling Good" (Nina Simone / Muse / Michael Bublé)
"Float On" (Modest Mouse)
"We'll Meet Again" (Vera Lynn)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, hosting, meetups and such; I helped organize the first annual Detroit Couch Crash in '09. I enjoy hanging out, getting to know people, jamming. Adventures are always welcome.
Dudes! I don't have a couch!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed lots, and hosted a couple of times, officially and unofficially. There are always odd times, but mostly it's been grand. Every Couch Crash has been an amazing time.
Interests
At the time of writing (2008), I'm sitting here listening to the rain beat against my darkened window, with VAST's "Evil Little Girl" playing, and putting off reading Tolstoy / analyzing a sample language for patterns. Life is good. (except that Tolstoy is kind of terrible)
I especially love languages; I've spent a lot of time learning and inventing them. I'm also really interested in dreaming and the human brain, so many of my recent pieces have involved EEG. I love working with my hands and building things (robots, musical instruments, strange little things).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Burned off some eyebrow/lashes at Beltane. Explored the dark, flooded ruins of industry and empire.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: juggling, quill pen and ink, bookmaking, bleach painting, tree climbing, mandolin, linguistics, a little audio manipulation, electronics.
Learn: archery, carving, musical instruments, juggling.
I love practicing the languages in which I already have a base, and would be glad to learn more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to listen to your stories! And maybe I can help fix things? I did tech support for a few years...
