ABOUT ME
Born, raised and educated San Francisco Bay Area kid living in Phoenix Arizona for a few months. Trying to make some friends while I’m here! I love hosting travelers and learning about their culture.
Trying to grow my perspective of the world, expand and diversify the group I call my friends, and do a selfless dead everyday, all the while enjoying the ride.
PHILOSOPHY
I know how unbelievably lucky I am to have been raised in such a positive and encouraging environment, so I try to keep that in perspective relative to the many around the world less fortunate, and do whatever I can to share the wealth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
-I used to host or meet travelers in San Francisco whenever I could. Now wanna do the same in the desert!
-I met a few locals and received some good advice while traveling through SE Asia in 2014/15
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only had great experiences with CS. Whether hosting in San Francisco or meeting new people abroad, the friends I make on CS are always such positive, interesting people. It's super helpful and exciting while traveling, and a great way to get the feel of adventure that you get from traveling while chatting with a tourist in your living room.
Interests
I try to surround myself with motivated people who challenge me.
I'm a true believer in philanthropy. This life is great for those of us lucky enough to get out and enjoy it, but I've found that my greatest sense of joy comes from getting my hands dirty helping those less lucky.
Dancing with friends is fun too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't know why but I can't read fiction, I just feel like there's so much informative and entertaining non-fiction out there that reading about wizards is a waste of time.
I like books that compile statistics and results from research to develop new concepts, challenge the status quo, or provide insightful information. Malcom Gladwell, perfect example.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bought a motorbike in Hanoi and rode to Saigon
Teach, Learn, Share
Sustainability, micro and macro. Everyone can learn how to live more sustainably on an individual basis, and community-wide measures taken all around the world should always be shared and discussed to see if there's potential to utilize these methods other places. (My builder self and environmental self meet squarely on this issue I believe is fascinating, not to mention critical)
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, Germany, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, Virgin Islands, British
Countries I’ve Lived In
United States
