About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as I can while learning a new language!

ABOUT ME

My Travel Blog!!! alexanderhetrick.blogspot.com
Instagram @boywithwonderlust

A sincere welcome to all fellow travelers! My name is Alexander Daniel DuBerry Hetrick, and I am a 24 year old male homosapien. I originate from small town Alabama, so on my passport it says that I am an American, but don't be fooled! I consider myself 100% a citizen of planet earth (will reevaluate once interplanetary space travel is achieved), who just happens to have spent an inordinate amount of time in southeastern USA. I have completed a Bachelors in History as well as a Bachelors in Biology, and Masters in Biomedicine. I also currently speak English and Japanese, while learning Spanish. I plan to keep adding to this list throughout my life!

Some things to know about me:
- Love animals, especially horses!
- Love shopping at secondhand, antique, and big open air markets!
- I am a Yogi. If unsure what that means, it means I have an addiction to introduce you to!
- Compete Anime/Manga nerd
- No Go for raw tomatoes, but love cooked or sundried! Only type of food I have trouble with is fish, except sushi odd enough.
- I travel with a sleeping bag.
- Can spend hours upon hours sitting in cafés, and will search them out for this vegetative purpose.
- Really Really dislike the smell of tobacco (or similar substances)
- two words: Chocolate whore. Don't show me it unless you wish for my food disposal superpowers to kick in.
- Wine, coffee and tea are my major food groups. Yet strive to eat healthy otherwise (and often fail).
- I am an ashamed carnivore. If I could go solely veggie, I would. Not to say I don't like veg dishes or learning to cook them! Just after a few days of nothing else you will start to look tasty (@_@)
- if you snore loudly, I am too polite to tell you the next day. Instead I will spend the night sending vicious vibes
- I am an extremely non confrontational person. I am totally allergic to conflict. But I love engaging conversation with people representing different views! Firm believer that you can have completly different opinions, faith, ect and still be besties!
- Tequila and I are no longer on speaking terms...
- if watching Lord of the Rings, it must be done all in one go, and extended editions only. No, the hobbit is not LOTR, so you may do them in sequential days. Harry Potter is split between 1-4 and 5-8. Snackage required.
- Do not ask me to chug a beer. Do ask me to judge craft perfection.
- I love outdoors! Hiking and Kayaking at the top of the list!
- Have a horse? It looks like it needs me to ride it.
- I am a sponge that loves to learn anything new! Anything, from religion to politics to science to travel! Also if I say something and I'm wrong (factually) please correct me! I'd rather be right the next time I say it and be a little embarrassed now!

PHILOSOPHY

It takes absolutly no effort to smile when eye contact is initiated
