ABOUT ME

It’s hard to catch me in a bad mood and when I am, it doesn’t take long for me to shake it off. I prefer to live in a positive and calm state and try my best to have things that influence that state, in my environment. I’m a persistent and determined person and have a lot of focus and drive when directed properly although I have been known to let procrastination get the better of me at times 😅.

音乐、电影和书籍

I have just started to make reading a normal and daily activity. Books that I have read that resonate with me include titles like ‘Brave new world’ by Aldous Huxley ‘A separate reality’ by Carlos Castaneda and ‘The power of now’ by Eckart Tolle’.
Music is constantly changing (like everything else these days) and new genres are being created from nothing or as hybrids from different genres. With that said I like to keep an open mind with music and always look to challenge what I know about it by listening to something different from time to time.......and so, I have found that I can like a wide variety of different genres from something like classical to drum and bass and anything in between.

Movies I really enjoy are usually comedy based. A few satirical comedies I quite enjoyed by N.Z director/actor Taika Waititi are ‘What we do in the shadows’, ‘Hunt for the wilderpeople’ and ‘Jojo rabbit’. I also love action, animated films and cartoon style movies.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Volunteering my time in Asia to teach english to children and adults. My efforts hopefully increased there chances to make a living in what is slowly becoming a world dominated by English speakers. Words can not express the reward I was given.

If I could teach something, it would be for people to love themselves, in turn allowing them to truly be able to love others, and live a life more fulfilled.
Something I have learnt would be to be mindful of everything I think and consequently say and act out for these are the tools that shape my reality. I no longer live with the idea that our lives play out on some roll of a dice, instead, we are the pilots of our own plane and therefore we control the journey to our destination.
Something I would like to share is be content; be present!
