About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wanderlust is in my heart. My mission is to let it free me.

ABOUT ME

Give me some more time on this one.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't subscribe to the conventional life of career, marriage, children, and mortgages. I am an impulsive man and so I choose not to save my life for after retirement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If I can stay at your place, you will find I am a good guest. I clean up after myself and I respect your place and time.
Also, I would be happy to cook for you or we could cook together.
I hope to be a host one day for my friends in Indonesia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to meet several CSers as I made my way through Indonesia. In hindsight, I don't know how I would have seen what I did if it were not for Couchsurfing. I got to meet some great people and have also made lifelong friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba dived to a ship wreck 60 feet under Lake Ontario. It was scary and cold but I didn't die. So now I am stronger for it.

Trekked to the top of Mount Papandayan, one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Thanks to Dina for that one. Awesome.

Trekked through the howling wind and cold rain to the top of Mount Bromo. Volcanoes kick your ass every time.

Got bitten by a giant Sumatran centipede. Thank God for kunyit, a traditional herbal medicine.

Went fishing at dawn in the Bali Sea. The motor wouldn't start and we drifted. I thought I was going to die.

The first orangutan I ever saw in the wild was the infamous Mina in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra. She followed me with her baby on her back through the jungle. Unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to cook and I could help you to learn more English.
I could also teach you some things about Canada as well.

Countries I’ve Visited
