About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying life in every part of the world and discover it as much as possible !

ABOUT ME

Always travelling with my love (see the picture)
Quentin and I have been together for almost 4 years now. We actually met in Singapore where we worked for 3 years. We travelled a lot in Asia and we loved it but after 3 years in the same country, we wanted a change and we decided both to relocate in Canada to see another part of the world. This is actually quite a change, well especially since we arrived in winter in Montreal.

Quentin is working in Montreal now in the construction business and I am back to studies (yeahhh, not easy but cool) to pass the bar in Quebec and become a qualified lawyer.

We love to travel, discover new places, encounter people and learning other cultures - this is why I choose to practice international law, while Quentin with his engineer degree can move easily. Yes, we are already discussing about our next move once my bar passed, we can't stop moving but still while we are in Montreal, we want to enjoy our time here as much as possible and being able to see around.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn as much as you can, travel as much as you can ! And be curious about everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started Couchsurfing as a guest in Quebec then became addicted to it, it enables you to discover all kinds of people living in so many different places and every time, there is always a good story to share.
I hosted people in Paris when I came back.
Then, in Singapore, Quentin and I couldn't host anyone since we were living in an condo in Singapore with 3 flatmates.
Now, in Montreal and with an extra-room, we can host people again and in return, we would like to discover North-America.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already travelled several times with couchsurfing, still I have hosted several times too.

I had a first great experience in Quebec with a really nice host. We were 5 friends and he host all of us. We had a great time with him and he took the time to show us his beautiful city. As it was really cold, we spent the day drinking hot quebecian wine to reheat ourselves. So, I decided to travel with couchsurfing for my trip in the US ! It was just marvellous !

Hosting in Paris was really good too ! I missed it.

Quentin never experienced couchsurfing yet but he already likes it thanks to my stories.

Interests

Quentin and I love to travel and to meet new people. We also love to learn languages, I already speak french, english, spanish and german and Quentin does speak English, German and Cantonese. In. In Singapore, we also catched up a bit of Mandarin and Indonesian.

We also love sports and particularly hiking during week-ends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love detective stories and sci-fi books. But I'm quite open-minded with books and as long as the story is good, I read anything.

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music but I would say that my favourite is the seventies' rock : the Doors, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimy Hendrix, etc.
I love watching movies but my favourite would be classical american movies such as Casablanca, Metropolis, Bonnie and Clyde, Taxi Driver, etc.

Quentin loves economic essays and TedEx videos.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a couple, being able to let go of everything we had in Asia (jobs, good friends, nice life) to start a new adventure in Montreal, just not to become obnoxious expats in Singapore by staying too long.

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages for sure, we are always happy to talk in English, Spanish or Cantonese with our guests since we are both French Speakers.
