ABOUT ME

My name is Alexia, but you may call me Lexi or Lex. I am friendly and adventurous. My mother is Swiss, and my father is English and my international family currently lives in Miami, Florida. I am a hair stylist in Miami. I also speak french fluently.

Meeting new people and places is always a ton of fun for me. I am always highly interested in hearing about peoples lives and stories over a coffee-hangout, dinner, or a few drinks. I just love to socialize!
I am a practicing vegetarian, but don't let that fool you when it comes to eating, because I still try to experience a new place through my stomach. And sometimes, if I am curious enough about a dish, I'll give it a try once.
I am more of an off the beaten path kind of person. I love seeing the sites and places I've read in history books, but I am always more intrigued by the places and hang outs of the locals.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in equality of all human beings. Respect of all people and their personal space is very important to me. I think understanding is the answer to world peace!

I've used this site a few times. And I feel it is a great way to travel, especially when you have the host showing you around their version of their city or town .

Intereses

I AM A BIG FAN OF MUSIC! Shows, concerts, festivals, I love them all! I am more of a fan of heavier music, but I am interested and love listening to almost all types. I also like most anything out doors. Camping, biking, canoeing, and kayaking are all outdoor activities I enjoy. I was a big runner and ran my first marathon in 2014. Now I try to do more circuit and cross-training.

Música, películas y libros

Music: Doom metal, Grindcore, Hardcore, Stoner metal, Screamo, Punk, Funk, Jazz, Classical, Disco, Dance, Indie-Rock, and experimental are all genres I usually listen to. There is very little I won't listen to but I am not a big fan of most pop music and most country music but I will deal with it.

As far as books and movies go, I prefer non-fiction and documentary types. I do enjoy fiction here and there but typically I'll pick something I know I can learn from.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I went paragliding in the Valais region of Switzerland in the summer of 2007. It was amazing running right off of the side of a mountain and glide over this amazing forest. Seeing everything from a birds eye view much like a bird would was astonishing.

Scuba diving was another truly spectacular moment. I haven't done it since the first time I went, but it is a whole different wonderful world to see. I strongly suggest everyone try it.
