About Me

Hey there beloved CS community!
I am that I am.
I love people, the world, and our connection to everything that exists in this beautiful, interconnected, multidimensional reality we're co-creating in every moment.
I am an avid learner of all things in this world, wonderfully adventurous and quite spontaneous and independent. I love meeting new people, getting to know their perspectives on the world, sharing stories, exploring new places, and exchanging tons of laughter, positivity, love, and uplifting, empowering moments!

A little bit about me and my journey in this life:
I grew up in Seattle, graduated from college in San Francisco in 2013 and returned to my hometown to work for a year before setting off to live on an organic permaculture farm in Costa Rica for almost 3 months. Then I lived in Panama for the next 9 months, working, traveling and getting to know that wonderful country. From there I traveled to Colombia, (completely fell in love), and spent 6 months traveling to every corner of that marvelous piece of earth, connecting very deeply with the people, culture, customs and profound connection to the earth that those who inhabit that space generate.

Between April 2016 and June 2017, I traveled all throughout South America to get to know it's amazing people, culture, customs, wisdom, traditions and natural beauty better; and through all of that, know myself more fully. This journey proved itself time and again to be much more than just an outward journey, in and amongst different places, and indeed became a profound exploration within myself of who I am as a person, and what it means to be human on planet earth.

In June, I returned to my place of birth to reconnect with my family, and decided on an intuition whim, to set off for my next journey in Hawaii, a place I feel profoundly called currently to write a book about my experiences these past three years. I want to get to know the culture and connection of the magical islands I've heard so much about, but have yet to experience in this body.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had some of the most amazing experiences traveling around Latin America and staying with local people in their homes, both through couchsurfing and though personal connections, genuinely experiencing the generosity, love and wonderful spirits of the people who opened their doors and everyday lives to me.

Thus, I am here to continue to experience and participate fully in this awesome, open-minded and open-hearted community that bridges so many cultures and languages, and breaks open barriers and perceived separations in time and space!

Interests

Some of my main interests include traveling (of course), meeting new people and places, delving deep into experiences and conversations about our spiritual connection as human beings, the many branches of yoga, indigenous wisdom traditions, alternative education, medicine and healing methods and techniques, exploring and observing subconscious patterns, anything that involves the natural world, and sports of many kinds- especially adventure ones & trying new things- especially if they scare me!
I love hiking, exploring new places, photography, and learning through participating in discussions about world affairs, cultural & social issues, and peoples lives in general... all of these things fascinate me to an infinite degree.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a huge array of music, but I'd say that the genres that move me the most are r&b, reggae, hip hop, funk and a wide swath of latin genres such as salsa, bachata, merengue & latin pop with some sprinklings of a ton of other genres from around the world.
