About Me

Well,I'm back in Malaysia. I couldn't host anyone right now because the owner of the house is not me. :(

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new friends and hopefully make friends from all over the world. I'm kind of shy and always reluctant to go out and meet people especially if my friends are around. To deal with it, I'm going to do solo travels every now and then. This way, I have no choice but to talk to someone.

In addition, I think that couch surfing is good in that I get to talk to locals who knows more about the place I'm going. I mean, you can only learn that much from the Internet. I want to do the things that locals do instead of just doing pure tourist-y stuff.

Interests

-Looking at food and travel blogs.
-Hanging out with my friends.
-Poker.
-Blogging. Currently I have a blog that's not really going well. It is under construction but you are welcome to have a look : brokedork.wordpress.com
-People watching.
- Swimming

Music, Movies, and Books

Instrumental, and sentimental songs. Current favorites :
"Merry Christmas, Mr.Lawrence"
"To the sky"
"Palchelbel Canon in D"

"Silver sky"

For movies, I usually watch action or comedy type. Sometimes I would watch thought provoking shows like Life of Pi and I would think about pie. Half joking. I like to discuss about movies with my friends and you can't discuss much about comedies.

-Cooking Master Boy
-Yakitate Japan
-Magi!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sharing a table with strangers when I'm out alone and actually talking to them. As I stated above, I'm quite shy, so this came as a shock to my friends and family. I hope that I would be able to have better stories to tell after some couch surfing experience.

Start using Couchsurfing, and doing it by myself at that.

Paragliding at Switzerland even though I'm afraid of height.

Swimming in Lake Bern at Switzerland. Did I mentioned that it was less than 10 degrees?

Listening to classical music performance at Vienna. Falling in love with ballet after that.

Not getting angry at missing my train. It might seem like something small, but I'm someone who gets angry when things don't go the way I plan. This Euro-trip is my way of learning how to control my anger, and so far it has been effective. I learnt that getting angry would get me nowhere. Might as well accept it and move on.

Went backpacking across Europe by myself and earned the term "Solo Queen" from my friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to speak Mandarin/Cantonese, but I can't teach you how to write them since I am illiterate in that.
I can teach you how to speak English like a Malaysian.
I can teach you how to dance like a monkey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't see myself as someone who can offer much information since I am pretty inexperienced in the world. All I can offer for now is my friendships. Apparently, according to my friends, I'm a good friend to have around.

Well, I can also offer you my ear - not literally of course - if you want someone to talk to. I'm a pretty good listener.

Countries I’ve Visited
