I'm a student who currently is going through some major wander lust. I love being outdoors, and going on adventures. I am attending university for a degree in mechanical engineering, but I've hit a peak in my interest for school. Right now I just want to go on more adventures and explore, live life to the fullest! I've just started to learn the value of walking everywhere while on a trip, because you really get to submerge yourself in the place, and it never hurts to save money!

As of right now I am attempting to learn German before I leave to study abroad in Germany later this summer. Surprisingly, I feel like I already learned more German, than I ever learned of French in high school (which just goes to show how much more effectively someone can learn a subject when it isn't forced upon them).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a student (a.k.a. broke). Plus, there is no better way to experience a new place than from someone who lives there and can share all of the cool in and outs. Also, it is an interesting way to meet new people, and hopefully make friends across the world.

Interests

I'm always reading, baking, or trying to finish a knitting project. I love watching movies, it has always been a dream of mine to create a movie of my own. Anything outdoors is for me (hiking, biking, kayaking, etc.). Since I'm an engineering major, I obviously love math and physics. But, I'm really up for learning about as many subjects that I can come across, and trying a variety of activities. But, my greatest interest by far is women's futball! Whether it be the local league the NWSL or international play, I try to catch as many matches as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite bands are streetlight manifesto, st. lucia, misterwives, and the last bison. Some of my favorite books are the little prince, the redwall series, the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy trilogy, and the good earth. My favorite movies are the star wars films, lord of the rings films, dirty girl, keith, short term twelve, moonrise kingdom, and the grand budapest hotel. As you can tell, I love my Wes Anderson films haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've helped to create a water purifying system, so that people in less developed areas can use their dirty water from washing clothing for growing vegetables. I did this in conjunction with Engineers Without Borders at the University of Vermont.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A great outlook, and a willingness to make a great adventure happen. I love having long discussions with new people, and learning their views on anything really. Also, I like to think I'm a pretty great baker, if you would like homemade sweets during my stay with you.
