Hi, I am Alexis! I am a 21 year old senior Biology and Psychology major at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). I've know about couchsurfing for year, but just now trying to give it an actual try. Growing up, I traveled a lot and moved every 3 years to different countries and regions of the US due to my fathers occupation. I guess now traveling is essentially part of who I am and now I’m on a mission to continue my culture exploration.

Many describe my as caring and compassionate. Always down for a good time but definitely love relaxation and chill nights.

Couchsurfing not only allows you to get a more personal experience with locals, but also is a economical source while traveling on a budget. I think it wonderful to get one-on-one submersion. Hotels definitely limit your experience as you're somewhat stuck in your own sense of comfort.

It such an amazing thought that someone one would be willing to open up their home to you.

I honestly love every genre of music (minus country). Different moments require different vibes to have a good time. Limiting yourself to only one genre is seemingly musically ignorant.

Action and Thriller movies/shows are my favorite. I'm currently hooked on Queen of the South.

As for book, I prefer historically accurate books and or books that depict a particular time in history.

As a 21 year old college student, I saved up enough to solo travel to 4.5 (Puerto Rico as the .5) countries on my own in 2018. I know people do it all the time, but I’m pretty proud of myself for that.

I’d definitely love to share experiences and perceptions with my hosts. Media is sometimes the only way we think conduct themselves; however, a one on one experience can’t create an outstanding breakdown of barriers. I love to cook and coming from an African American and Cuban family, I can definitely teach some incredible dishes.
