About Me
Hi, I'm Alexis. Seven years ago, I moved to a foreign country to teach ESL and signed up for swimming classes. I didn't speak the language but that was part of the adventure.
If there's a beach, waterfall or a lake. I'll be there. I love being outdoors, soaking in the sun and also not trying to get sunburned. Food is one of my passion. Chicken sold on the side of the street. Delicious. Random night markets. The best taco in Mexico, is on the highway near Bacalar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting people when I travel, learning about their cultures and sharing food/stories. Some of my best friends are people I met randomly on a beach or on a boat. Couchsurfing is like having a local friend with all the best tips on where to eat and what to do.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned to swim.
Slept on a boat and scuba dive in Komodo National Park.
Watch the sunrise and sunset in every country I visited.
Carry my friend's suitcase half a mile because of low tide. We laughed the whole way.
Teach, Learn, Share
Good conversations and food, when I do cook. Lots of stories, travel tips and friendships.
