About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Macka B says it for me in his song "So Many Things" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzfOgHsi860

ABOUT MY COUCH

I enjoy hosting people when my work permits, which is unfortunately only occasionally, preferably over the weekend. I can offer a comfy sofa in the living room of a clean flat. For me, sociable and flexible guests who come to share and get to know something are the best.

ABOUT ME

I'm a school teacher and really enjoy my job. I also like going to concerts, having a pint, visiting museums... Recently, I started dancing tango and I think it's good fun, although it's super hard (so quite often I get annoyed instead of enjoying it)! One thing I'm keen on is learning and teaching languages. I am not a polyglot like those crazy people you see on the internet but I find languages easier than tango so sometimes they make me feel little bit good about myself! I like how languages allow me to meet nice people I wouldn't have otherwise met. I particularly like meeting people who care deeply about something, perhaps want to change something and those who are a good laugh!

PHILOSOPHY

Se eu tivesse mais alma pra dar, eu daria, isto pra mim é viver.
Caetano Veloso

Approach love and cooking with great abandon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, it simply allows you to travel for real, which is getting to know people and their culture - even if you are at home.

Interests

I like sports (football etc), reading (Doctor Zhivago..), listening to music (D'Angelo..), being with my friends (Thomas..), playing chess with Milan and playing backgammon with my dad...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I understood, thanks to the locals, what true hospitality is on my trip in Caucasus. Went to Mount Athos and got up at 4 am to participate in the first morning prayer. Played football on the street with kids in Brazil. Saw the sunset in Sounion in Greece with somebody dear.

Interesting chat, some good jokes and good stories is what I am looking for and what I can offer.
