About Me

ABOUT ME

Not your typical American.. traveling is a way of life for me. Soaking in new cultures and seeking new adventures is part of my soulful spirit. I am a very open person, in that I will have a conversation with any stranger. I am fun, yet introverted at the correct times.

My boyfriend and I have joined Couchsurfing in hopes that we can travel many parts of the U.S to experience new sites and cultures. We do not just want a free stay, we also hope to have late night dinners with our hosts and conversations about our different lives. There is so much to talk about! So much to learn from one another! This is after all, part of the adventure.

I practice photography in my spare time and am hoping to get some great shots in your hometown.

I am a masters student studying Environmental Sciences and Policy with a focus on hypoxia and ocean dynamics. I love nature! I have a great appreciation for conservation and preserving the environment. I have read textbooks for years, but getting out in the environment to experience it with out my own eyes is vitally important in securing my passion for environmental science.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's no better way to immerse myself into new cultures! Plus, hotels are boring. They all look the same.

Interests

I run as much as possible! I will probably go on morning runs from your home. I try to run a half-marathon each year just to keep my motivation alive.

When I'm not inside reading a book or editing my photography, I am out exploring. I enjoy trying new coffee shops and seeking out hiking trails. I also love animals, so if you have a pet, this can only be a plus.

I enjoy learning new languages and writing about cultural differences. Aside from capturing cultural happenings on my camera, I enjoy writing down the stark differences from country-to-country. Amazing what you notice when you tune in on the details of people and your surroundings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ate termites off a tree in Belize due to de-hydration. Weird, I know, but they actually taste good (little minty).
