After a few VERY OPEN summer months, I find myself needing to catch up on me-time and to focus my energy more on the things that are actually needing my attention. That is why I’m not accepting guests right now, but you are welcome to write anyway if you have any questions about the city or things to do 💚

I am sensitive and honest and like to make people laugh. I am female but identify a lot more with just being human. I feel quite fluid, also in my sexuality, and I think this developed through me working with my body so much through touch and movement, expression, Improvisation and awareness in the last 11 years - the body becomes just a body; that is changing day to day and year to year, always relating to the world around, responding to people and circumstances. I find it is important to enjoy life and good people as much as possible, while it is possible :)

I love to dance Contact Improvisation and to have conversations with people who really listen and have a good amount of self-irony. I lived in Berlin for 6 years in my 20’s when I studied dance and Alexander Technique and my time there was so valuable. Since 2018 I live in Copenhagen. I strive and work towards one day being a real freelance artist and I have my own project all the while I work pretty much full time with nannying ;) I enjoy doing it and I learn a lot about families, myself and neurodiversity/pedagogy.

It is important to be good to people. While being good to yourself. And to not have to separate those I think takes practice, will and compassion. I believe we can share so much more good with each other than we are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had good experiences, hosting couchsurfers, and I like to meet new people. I tried couchsurfing myself and was amazed by all the kindness and help I received.

I currently live in a four-person flatshare and to concider their comfort I don't often take couchsurfers in, but hey, a little (or big) couchsurfer once in a while is only healthy I think!

Interests

I like taking walks with the feet in the shoreline, and talking about ideas, experiences and observations, or just enjoying quiet together when needed. I like to climb my favourite trees, to playfight and to sing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you see my references and find it odd that some people reference me as Alexis, I can share with you that I had a period of two years when I moved to Berlin where I adopted my “artist name” Alexis. It was great and very interesting to feel what differences it made. Long story short, eventually I made peace with my old name and now love and appreciate my birth-given name Sabine. Now you will find me on Instagram, YouTube and fb as “BackToSabine”, where I post all the different stuff I do and make :)

Everyone has their own journey. Everyone has their own pace. This is something I keep having to remind myself :)
