About Me

Hey Guys,

My names Alexis and its nice to sorta meet you! I'm a 21 year old girl from Whitby, Ontario which is just outside of Toronto. I'm attending our local college for business administration and business management. I love learning new things and hearing people theories on life. I think its so cool how everyone has different believes and thoughts on life and I love hearing about them. I'm a very social person and love being around people 24/7! I'm always on the go and looking for new adventures, but I don't complain about having a night in and watching a movie or reading a good book. I've travelled Australia and New Zealand on my first trip without my parents, with my best friend Shelby! It was an amazing 7 week journey and I can not wait to start our next one :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and get out of my comfort zone. I also think its the full experience of visiting another country. How can you get the full effect of the culture if you're in a hotel with a bunch of other tourists?

Music, Movies, and Books

All time favourite movie will forever be spy kids. Obsessed with pitch perfect and the hunger games. I really enjoy action movies as well or anything that can make me laugh!
I like any kind of music really, but Kendrick Lamar has my heart with his new album To Pimp A Butterfly - pure talent.
Reading 7 Habits of Highly Effective People right now, and I can tell you this book has changed my life and really inspired me to go out and do what I want like Couch Surf! Hunger Games and Harry Potter were my favourite series to read by far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered by 9 weeks of my summer to work at a Christian Camp with my best friend. It was amazing just being away from technology and working with the kids!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm still learning a lot. But I would say the most important thing I've learned that I like to share is the importance of vulnerability with everything you do. "Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable but they're never weakness" - Dr Brene Brown

What I Can Share with Hosts
