ABOUT ME
I grew up on Long Island (yes, like the cocktail), but always escaped to Manhattan on my weekends. I've never been a suburban type of girl. I like taking public transportation, walking everywhere, actually seeing the city for what it is. I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology to study Fashion Design (please don't ask if I want to be on Project Runway, lol) and after two years in New York, decided to continue my studies with the abroad program in Milan... initially I was supposed to stay one year, ended up staying for two. I minored in History of Art and Italian to keep my sanity.
I think it's been a really big period of growth in my life. Having to find an apartment by myself (in another language), traveling in foreign countries and not knowing the language, just seeing what Europe and the rest of the world has to offer.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that from my past two years, I've seen how much there is to offer and how sheltered I really was in the US. People thought that I was crazy for coming to study abroad for such a long period of time, and now I look at my life and I would never turn back.. life is meant to be an open book. The more you put yourself out there, the more easily that you are able to learn about the person that you'd like to be.

Music, Movies, and Books
I hate these sorts of lists because I can never think of them all..
Books: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (the movie will never compare), Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
Movies: La Grande Bellezza, La Vita e' Bella, La Tigre e La Neve, Kissing Jessica Stein, anything by Pixar, The Rear Window
Music: such an eclectic mix.. I can go from Notorious BIG to Imogen Heap. I can probably tolerate anything besides heavy metal and country.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably when I went to Israel last summer spent the night in the Bedouin tents under the stars in the middle of the desert. We woke up at 4 am and hiked up Masada, it was the most spectacular sunrise.
Teach, Learn, Share
If somebody is more knowledgable then me about a specific topic, I don't appreciate arrogance, but someone who actually wants to make me aware of this topic, subject, fact... whatever it is. It's not a competition about who knows more.
