26 year old that has a passion for art, music, photography, communication, education, traveling, hiking, meeting new people, exploring new cultures, and being happy. I like to pull views of life from other cultures because I think it gives one a better understanding of not only the world we live, but also an understanding of ourselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new and look forward to losing my CS Virginity to Italy --- ROme, Venice, and the Cinque Terre if I can find someone there. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A recent Couch Surfing Experience was finding an awesome 3 story Victorian house to stay in while I visited San Francisco. My boyfriend and I stayed with a family with 5 children. They were very friendly and welcoming, but also not intrusive.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all kinds of music except death metal and techno.

Favorite Movies: Forrest Gump, Ever After, Titanic, Inception, A League of Their Own, and any of the Pixar Disney Movies.

Favorite Books: Don't read much but loved the Harry Potter Books. Tuesdays with Morrie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was camping on the Big Island in Hawaii, we stayed overnight in an area called Milolii (Mee-low-lee-ee). There was a celebration that night of the parting of a widow's husband -- Hawaiian tradition is to celebrate a person's passing. We made some new friends that night who explained to us the spiritual feeling of Milolii. They explained that the best way to feel life is to wake up at sunrise and get in the water to swim with Dolphins that swim around the Bay. They weren't kidding when they said you'd be swimming right next to dolphins. While I envisioned seeing them from far away, the dolphins were literally 4 or 5 ft away from you swimming next to you in the water. Sunrise. Quiet Bay. One with Nature. A spiritual feeling indeed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love trying new food and cultural dishes (well, nothing too crazy). I anticipate reciprocating the hospitality by making one of my favorite meals: Quesadillas! I'm also pretty awesome at making French Toast and eggs :) If you're new to learning Guitar, I could also teach you some chords.
