Hi, i m Alexander and live in the cold Syberia, near most clear lake in the world Baikal. Currently i work self-employed in small business.

I m very like to travel and i think it s almost most important part of life - at least, in first half of it. You meet new people, try new things, get impressions and knowing different way of thinking - travel reach you with experience really fast and after every journey you transform to a better man.

I m new on CS and it s my first experience here (despite, i create an account in 2014 just to see what it is), so i m try to be a good guest and interesting person to interact with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people with same passion to travel and exploring as me, and definitely, CS is largest community of this kind of people in the world; i want to be part of this family.

Another reason, let me be honest, that, sometimes, even hostels in desired country is not cheap at all.

So, if you want to travel and have a low budget, you have three options:

1) stay home
2) go to desired country only for 3-4 days
3) travel anywhere you want by using CS

I really appreciate this opportunity and want to say thanks to all hosts, who support CS idea and make travels be live and available for people. Hope, i can host myself in future.

- I m like to read books, prefer memoirs or non-fiction.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: i m not strict attached to some kind of music or performer, but definitely warm feeling in my soul keep Lana Del Rey, Sia; good old rock and blues.

Movies and tv: "Lost in Translation", "U Turn", "Margin Call", "Ready Player One" / "Shogun", "Sopranos", "The Wire", "Six Feet Under".

Books: "Shogun" and "Noble House" (James Clavell), "Private Dancer" (Stephen Leather), short stories by Anthon Chekhov.

But last decade my attention goes mostly to non-fiction books - real stories is more inspiring for me and more educative. I m very like small Hong-Kong publish house "Blacksmithbooks" (try this novel for starter: "Starting from Scrap" Stephen H. Greer).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding on mongolian horse by myself on the top of the green hill in wild lands of Mongolia, with dense mist anywhere. It was so calm and beauty - hill, mist, flowers, clear mountain air, little ring of bell on the horse neck. And you completely alone (guide and friends riding somewhere 100 m behind or upfront you). I don t know why i remember exactly this moment, but surprisingly it s one of my strongest impressions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you with simple words about cryptocurrency and mining, what is it and why people so hyped about it (peak of hype was in 2017, now it s much lesser).

Also, i can give advise about graphic design - if my expertise will be enough.

And sure we can share walks, talks, drinks, stories and good mood.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It s be fair if, in exchange to host me, i can offer you to help with something, where another pair of hand is needed (but not in a Bank robbery, of course ;). May be you need to help with move old furniture to new apartment, for example - this kind of thing.
