I am studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. I am now in Europe for six months doing a semester abroad at Leeds University.

I spent the whole of 2015 backpacking Europe, doing workaways and finding short term jobs. I was based in Oslo, Norway and went traveling from there. Near the end of the year I went backpacking for three months through Italy and France. I used couch surfing in France several times, and throughout the whole year I attended couch surfing events. This included the Dutch Pancake night!

I am traveling now in August with my cousin. She has never used couch surfing before and so I am so excited to show it to her!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love any opportunity to meet new people and try new things so this seemed to be the perfect way to do that. I love how CS gives you the chance to make a friend in a new city.

I have stayed with couch surfers in France and I regularly attended CS events throughout Europe.
