Overview
About Me
Born and raised in a Chicago suburb for the first 19 years of my life. Attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for one year. Took a gap year, traveled, found a love for the Pacific Northwest and finished school out in Oregon.
Finished Undergrad June of 2014, went farming for about six months on a variety of nurseries, farms, ranches and homesteads in Oregon.
I love kids and the innocence of childhood. I consider myself a child at heart and show this in many ways while working at an elementary school. I was partpart of an organization called Wediko Children's Services out of Boston, MA.
Just moved to Salt Lake and work for a Wilderness Therapy company in the Uintas.
Growing food, teaching children how to do the same and finding a way to end the cyclical nature of foster care are considered to be "passions" of mine. Oh, yea, traveling too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is my preferred way to stay in cities or places I am not familiar with while traveling. Get to meet really interesting people with even better stories while sharing my own, whats better than that?
People have open couches. Other people don't mind sleeping on them. Why not make a happy marriage of the two?
