ABOUT ME

I am a South African Fulbright Scholar pursuing my PhD at the University of Washington. My focus is on issues of climate change, poverty, global justice and inequality. I am an avid explorer and if the world had no problems I would spend my time just exploring, playing guitar and learning new languages, cultures and cuisines.

PHILOSOPHY

This question is Kryptonite to me, I don't believe a personal philosophy can be described in a paragraph, but if I have to I would probably draw on Paul Taylor and say that we must treat all life with respect.

I have been Couchsurfing before and I have really enjoyed meeting new people through couchsurfing. I have hosted a few friends although none formally through Couchsurfing.

Jumped the highest bungie jump in the world and river-rafted the Zambezi River.

I play guitar, speak some French, Afrikaans and even a bit of isiXhosa. I am quite well-educated in philosophy and environmental issues, especially climate change. I am always happy to share my skills, knowledge, stories and culture, as well as to cook and share good food, drinks and company.
