ABOUT ME

I am 23 years old and currently travelling the world with my girlfriend. We spent 4 months travelling South-East Asia which was incredible before spending 6 months in Australia. We then headed to New Zealand and Fiji and are now on our way to the USA.

We are both very relaxed, easy going people who enjoy meeting new friends and socialising. We have been together for 4 years and have spent almost every minute of the last year with each other, and we're still not tearing each other's hair out! We enjoy all the touristy stuff, but we love to immerse ourselves in the local culture and see things not everyone would. I also love sport. All kinds of sport and I'm excited to experience the seasons whilst in the USA. We both love good food and good beer and good rum but we are not the club going type. We prefer a night of good drinks with good company or a night in watching movies or just making a nice meal.

We find it easy to get along with everyone and hope to meet lots of new friends through couch surfing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very new to the scene and it's all about surfing at the moment. Really excited to get involved as heard so many good things. And once I've eventually made it home I'd be more than willing to host whenever possible.

It's just such a good way to meet new people and enjoy new experiences.

Interests

As mentioned I'm big into sports. I love football (soccer) but I also take a big interest in American sports such as NFL and basketball. Recently woke up early to watch the finals whilst in Melbourne.

Both Eve and myself love movies. We easily watch a couple each week and we are both very open minded. We'll watch just about anything. Some of our favourites include Jackie Brown, a Silver Linings play book and the Avengers.

Music is another big interest we share. Eve's family have worked in the business for years. I think it's fair to say we have a varied taste in music and are keen to hear new exciting artists..especially live.

Music, Movies, and Books

As already mentioned I am a big movie fan. Some of my favourite films include, Shawshank Redemption, Moneyball, The Avengers, Anchorman. I do have a soft side and enjoy a good Disney film such as Toy Story or the Lion King.

Music...I always struggle when people ask me what type I like. I like a huge variety. Mumford and Sons to Michael Jackon and arctic Monkeys to Frank Sinatra. Eve is the same, although Pink Floyd are one of her favourites along with artists like Daughter, Edward Sharpe, Johnny Flynn and The Libertines.

I love the Harry Potter books as it's what I read growing up. Whilst travelling I have read the Hobbit and LOTR, however I have just finished reading 'Stoner' which was a brilliantly written novel.

After I return home I'm going to try and read several more books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The months we have spent travelling have allowed us to see so many amazing things. Halong Bay in Vietnam, sunrise at Ankor Wat, spending new year in Malaysia. And then Australia was amazing, Uluru, and Fraser Island were great while scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef was an incredible experience neither of us will ever forget.
