After all the learning and the experiences that offered me my trips through Asia, I started a new life in Sabadell, quite far from the town I grew up. Since then, I'm living with other people that thinks like me, studying anthropology, reading and debating every day, and trying to make my city a better place to live. I participate in different people's spaces and organisations, and our main struggles are related to housing issues, education and health systems, employement, national freedom movements, and gender inequality. Besides, I always try, if I can, to keep travelling, discovering new places and learning from the people's and persons from all over the world.

I really think (and my field of study kind of prove it) that human beings are capable to live in totally different conditions, in a big number of different ways. Departing from this idea I think it's totally possible to create (together) new conditions that would make us able to live in a new way. A fair and really equal society in all its angles.

Después de todo el aprendizaje y las experiencias que me ofrecieron mis viajes a través de Asia, empecé una nueva vida en Sabadell, bastante lejos del pueblo que me vio crecer. Desde entonces, vivo con otras personas que piensan como yo, estudiando antropología, leyendo y debatiendo cada día, y tratando de hacer de mi ciudad un lugar mejor para vivir. Participo en diversos espacions y organizacions populares, y nuestras principales luchas están relacionadas con las cuestiones de la vivienda, de la sanidad y la educación, el trabajo, los movimientos de liberación nacional, y la desigualdad de género. Además, siempre que puedo, intento seguir viajando, conociendo lugares y aprendiendo de los pueblos y personas de todo el mundo.

Creo realmente (y mi campo de estudio lo demuestra bastante) que los seres humanos somos capaces de vivir en condiciones muy distintas, de muchas formas distintas. Partiendo de esta idea veo totalmente posible crear (colectivamente) unas nuevas condiciones que harían possible que pudiéramos vivir de una forma totalmente nueva. Una sociedad justa, y realmente igualitaria, en todos los sentidos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling in Turkey I met a person who would end up becoming a very good friend of mine for all these years. He was the first one to talk to me about Couchsurfing. Since then, I used it in Pakistan, India, China, Mongolia, Russia and Poland, and I had the most wonderful experiences. I really like CS because it's a perfect way to meet people willing to share past experiences and new ones. Many of my best times travelling are due to this community, and that's why I keep using it. In the other hand, after my trips through Asia I realized that I wanted to live the other side of CS, the "hosting" side. I only could do it for a while, but I will never forget all the people I hosted, specially some very good friends I made.

Viajando por Turquía conocí a una persona que acabaría siendo un gran amigo durante todos estos años. Él fue el primero en hablarme de Couchsurfing. Desde entonces, lo he usado en Pakistan, la Índia, China, Mongolia, Rusia y Polonia, y he tenido experiencias increïbles con él. Me gusta realmente CS porque es la forma perfecta de conocer a gente dispuesta a compartir experiencias pasadas y a crear nuevas. Muchos de mis mejores momentos viajando han sido gracias a esta comunidad, y es por eso que sigo participando de ella. Por otro lado, después de mis viajes por Asia me di cuenta de que quería vivir el otro lado de CS, el del que recibe. Sólo pude hacerlo durante un tiempo, però nunca olvidaré a la gente que acogí, en especial a algunos muy buenos amigos que hice.

As it's obvious, I love travelling and knowing people and places. I enjoy nature so much: walking, reading and thinking, in mountains or seasides. I have a big passion for learning, both theoretical and practical. I can talk and debate over hours about philosophy, history, politics, culture, social fights, cinema, and all kind of subjects.

Tal como es evidente, me encanta viajar y conocer gente y lugares nuevos. Disfruto mucho en la naturaleza: caminando, leyendo y pensando, en la montaña o en el mar. Tengo una gran pasión por el aprendizaje, tanto teórico como práctico. Puedo hablar y debatir durante horas sobre filosofía, historia, política, cultura, luchas sociales, cine y todo tipo de temas.

Music, Movies, and Books

ENGLISH
I like all kind of books, but now usually I only read stuff which gives me more than entertainment. I read mostly about history, politics and anthropology. Anyway, I love reading everything, and some of my favourite writers are Camus, Sartre, Zola, Nietzsche, Goethe, Brecht, Hesse, Palahniuk, etc. I've seen many movies and its hard to make a list of favourites, but I could say Fight Club, Into the Wild, American History X, Somebody flew over the cucut's nest, and many more.

Me gustan todo tipo de libros, però últimamente tiendo a leer cosas que no se centran en entretener. Principalmente leo sobre historia, política y anttropología. De todas maneras, me encantan autores como Camus, Sartre, Zola, Nietzsche, Goethe, Brecht, Hesse, Palahniuk, etc. He visto muchas películas, y me resulta muy difícil hacer una lista de preferidas. Algunas de las que me gustan son El club de la lucha, Hacia rutas salvajes, American History X, Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco, y muchas más.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Impossible to say one. I've been camping in Turkey with a friend from Argentina. I've been lost in a desert in Iran, or having the best New Year in the Persian Gulf. I've been treated as a king in Pakistan and lived many adventures in India. I went high in the Nepali Himalaia. I did bungee-jumping with a pakistani friend near Beijing. I crossed, by walking, alone, the mongolian steppes. I took the Trans-siberian train from Ulaanbaatar to Moscow.

Es imposible decir sólo uno. Estuve acampando en Turquía con un amigo de Argentina. Me perdí en un desierto de Iran, y tuve el mejor Año Nuevo en el Golfo Pérsico. Me trataron como un rey en Pakistan, y viví muchas aventuras en la Índia. Subí mucha en el Himalaya nepalí, y hice puenting con un amigo pakistaní cerca de Beijing. Crucé, caminando, solo, las estepas de Mongolia. Tomé el tren Trans-siberiano desde Ulaanbaatar hasta Moscú.

Teach, Learn, Share

ENGLISH
As I already said, I can offer debate or explaining about the subjects I'm familiar with. I would enjoy so much going out hanging out or/and partying with my host (and friends of him/her). I really like to cook and I would love to learn new recipes. I would offer all my attention to listen and learn about the local culture and social issues.

Tal como he dicho ya, puedo ofrecer debate o explicación sobre los temas con los que estoy familiarizado. Disfrutaría mucho saliendo a tomar algo o de fiesta con que me acoja (y sus amigos/as). Me gusta mucho cocinar y me encantaría aprender nuevas recetas. Y sobretodo ofrecería toda mi atención a escuchar y aprender sobre la cultura local i las problemáticas sociales.
