PHILOSOPHY

Oooh, I'm always reluctant to fill out things like this. I would maybe say something Millian (John Stuart) here: that one should be free to do as one pleases, provided that one does not harm anyone else. So the idea is that that applies as much to me as to anybody else.

兴趣

Intellectual: analytic philosophy (in particular: ethics), politics, evolutionary biology, religion, history, classics, reading about any of these subjects, or writing about them, speech-writing.

Physical: Cycling, hiking, canoeing, (ever since visiting Cambridge, as my photo shows) punting, swimming, playing pool or table tennis, or other light sports that are not too competitive.

Other: Virtually any kind of music (that is to say, there is good music to be found in all genres, as far as I can see (hear?), but not that I like every individual song within those genres), arty movies, some mainstream movies, cats, cacti.
