CURRENT MISSION

I currently study geosciences in Freiburg in southern Germany. In between I travel. Right now I am backpacking in Estonia, Latvia and Norway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I am interested in cultural exchange and I feel like it is a great opportunity to really learn about a country. Everything looks different if you see the inside of houses and talk to locals than if you just walk by.

Interests

I like to be outside, going swimming or hiking in the summer,hang out on a boat or just play cards in the sun is the best! On rainy days I like to watch good movies or to cook with friends. In my free time I like to travel around and see places I haven't been to yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read national geographic a lot since they have really interesting travelling stories and news and I love the pictures. I like to take pictures a lot myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think (and I really want to believe it 😀) I saw northern lights at a beach while there was full moon in Estonia!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I had some couch surfing experiences so far but haven't hosted yet. my boyfriend had surfers 3 times and we had a good time celebrating his birthday, and in my time in Seattle I went to a yoga meet up once a week, he had couch surfers over a lot for example a French couple who made awesome Crêpes with us. In Vancouver I stayed with a host together with a friend and he was really nice! We cooked Asian food together and he took us to the suspension bridge. I like to see places from this personal side while talking to locals and asking about daily life in their places. To me that is a very different perspective than just passively walking through places.
