ABOUT ME

I'm a young mind trying to navigate the twists and turns of life. I enjoy changes of pace and scenery.

I'm a student at the University of Vermont, eager to develop independence by accepting dependence. I love the outdoors and am an avid climber and skier. I enjoy eating and cooking fine food, good conversation, and kind company. I look to most things as though they are lessons and think that being able to learn from experience is one of the few precious constants we cling to.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still trying to figure this out. I think that philosophy is situational, and the situation out of control. I like to see myself as an explorer, following the trails of those before me in the directions of the things that I love until I come to a dead end. In those moments I plunge ahead, hoping for the moment of clarity.

I choose to continue living because "we are a way for the universe to know itself". The matter that is my body is fortunate enough to be sentient enough to understand itself, and that is a blessing far to great to give up without a fight.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf, asking little from hosts; I host, offering what little I have to guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times, when people were generous enough to give me a warm place to sleep when I really needed it.

I've mostly hosted, committing varying degrees of effort and enthusiasm to my guests ranging from full-on nights on the town to staying home working while they spent all day exploring.

I like jazz, classical, and electronic sounds; beats kids can dance to; weird primitive rhythms. I like movies and books with something to say, not just something to kill time with.

I cannot profess to be an expert of anything but I know a little about a great deal. As of yet I can only offer my mind as it is; do not come to me looking to learn anything specific, but I guarantee you will learn something.
