About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live my dreams while leaving the world a better place than I found it

ABOUT ME

This is a hard one... I am a very multi-faceted person... I love to talk, but can appreciate silence and solitude. I love to play music, listen, draw, write, take photos, dance, philosophize, analyze and discuss.

I love the world but am adamant about changing how we as humans interact with it (for the better of course!).

I love how many friends I have made in all different circles and walks of life and want to make more.

I love riding my bicycle, and am actively planning my lifestyle around commuting and recreating on two wheels!

I am an active dreamer and yet a pragmatist that is wholly dedicated to the undefined journey between the destinations that appear along the ride we call life.

I challenge myself everyday to spin the world around me in a positive way.

I believe it is the capability humans have to be aware of the world around us, harmonize with it, and use our imaginations to create new patterns that will amaze us. this allows us to create works of art in the most mundane of daily tasks, or balance and adapt new energies to create new, unique and intriguing things, sounds, visions and realities.

I am a playfully critical eye that uses hands to shape the world around me. I try to play with the light, sound, thought and matter the universe provides to compliment what it already offers.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn as much as possible, give gernerously and be happy for no reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love being a part of my community. In the past I have worked on projects ranging from International Peace and Conflict Studies to working with youth doing advocacy work centered around climate change and the environment. I love CS because I can meet from people from places and backgrounds that are new and unique, as well as share some of the incredible things going on in my neck of the woods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love couchsurfing!! My good friends got me involved by meeting surfers they hosted and telling me stories about their great adventures. All the surfers I have met have taught me something I didn't know and shown me new ways to view the world around me. I want to meet many more!

Interests

Music- jamming and making our own! going to small shows and dancing all night. I love the blues, rock n roll, classical, jazz, reggae, acoustic guitar, emancipator, bonobo, andrew bird, the Xx, Pheoniz, The Heligoats, Kaki King, John Butler Trio, Micheal Franti, Sublime, to throw a few out there.

Being outside- rock climbing, hiking, camping, taking photos, riding my bicycle, just enjoying the sunshine.

Being inside- cooking and eating, relaxing, making and drinking coffee, playing music, singing, taking, making and enjoying good beer, reading, listening to music while doing all of the above.

Learning- (aside from about anything and everything), learning about the world and the people that inhabit it, new creative ways to harmonize with the world, language, culture, philosophy, poetry, music, technology, science, biology, religion and communication.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read. I love books that leave me rethinking the world. I love tales of epic adventures and stories in which the guy gets the girl. I love stories and legends from long ago and places whoms names have changed many times. I love seeing the patterns of the human mind and all the nuances that decorate them. I love play's on words and images that different languages portray that English cannot translate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is an amazing day! I love looking back at all the neat opportunities and travels I have had in the past. I am also excited for what lies in the future!

Teach, Learn, Share

The Zen master once said that breathing in binds and combines, while holding the breath makes everything right, and releasing the breath loosens and completes by overcoming all limitation.
