About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Securing opportunities to make positive impacts on local food systems for post-grad life
ABOUT ME
Food. That is really is the best thing for me to refer to to describe myself. My life revolves around food. I study nutrition in college, I plan to attain a masters degree in sustainable food systems. I love to garden, cook, create dining experiences, share meals, teach people about cooking, learn about how food fits into culture, and bottom line love food that nourishes mind and body.
Other things that peak my interest are: commuting by bicycle, brewing great coffee, craft beer, storytelling/experience sharing.
I wake up everyday to take steps toward my ultimate goal of making healthy foods and cooking attainable, logical, and the norm.
PHILOSOPHY
There are always opportunities to grow and I strive to take as many as possible. I believe: Whatever you want in life, there is always a way to grow in such a way to attain it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate in couchsurfing as a surfer. I am very interested in learning about (and if possible, contributing to) my hosts' lives and their pursuits. I will someday set myself up to be a host - but its not logical with a college, busy, leader, working schedule.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had one so far with couchsurfing.com. But, I grew up in a household that was always a host. My mother is a kind hearted person and was always taking somebody in to help them out (and she still is to this day!). Throughout my childhood, I was fortunate to share my home (not by my choosing, but still enjoyed it) with several travelers.
