About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to explore the world cheaply. I'm curious about people and I love hearing what people have to say.

ABOUT ME

I've lived in Portland, OR most of my life and now I live in Hermosa Beach, CA, where I enjoy the beach, cook incredible meals and jog. I love shooting black and white film but I also have a digital SLR that I love. I'm dating and living with a wonderful man named Ben who came from Wisconsin. I also LOVE to cook!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in great food, photography, wine and conversation. I really believe in sustainable and organic agriculture. I really love traveling and I love learning how people live. I'm an atheist/Buddhist and liberal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love traveling but I can't always afford a hostel or hotel and couch surfing is the coolest way to meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Oregon, when I attended college, but I haven't surfed in CA yet and am excited to try!

Interests

I love running, tennis, photography, reading, tv, movies, art, and listening to interesting people tell interesting stories about their lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies are anything by Woody Allen, Lars Van Trier films, Adore, V for Vendetta, Erin Brokovitch, and Wedding Crashers. I loved the books Catcher in the Rye, Fahrenheit 451, The Lovely Bones, My Friend Leonard, and A Million Little Pieces.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have snorkeled in the caves or 'cenotes' in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. It was truly beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've stayed in youth hostels and host families in other countries and loved it. I think the key to success is listening to people's stories if you are in one place for long enough and respecting their things and their home.
