Overview
About Me
A complicated mix of ancestors from all over Europe resulted in a French guy speaking English with a German accent, taller than most Dutch, loving everything Italian, yearning to learn Russian and currently living in Austria. A true European at heart. And somehow, despite all of this, I was born in Washington DC. -_-
As I said, it's complicated...
I can reliably be bribed with souvlaki and cheese (to be honest, probably most good food will do the trick). Extroverted introverted, whatever that means. Both knowledgeable and funnily stupid at times. I tend to get offended by my own sarcasm and laugh at my own jokes. Love to work on cool things that matter and collaborate wherever and whenever creative ideas are being thrown around!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Amazed by the concept but yet to experience it! I have been on the platform since 2009 and eagerly followed couchsurfing related activities, yet never found the time to take advantage of the opportunities it offers. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures, stories and people.
Interests
Love to read and experience things related to, among other things: history, literature, social entrepreneurship, philosophy, video games, food, tennis, classical music, political science, playing clarinet, space exploration, Middle-East, Arsenal, India, photography, ancient civilizations and science fiction.
I have my storytelling moments and like to - passionately - discuss interesting ideas, yet I still prefer listening, asking questions and learning from others.
Always up for spontaneous, random fun, be it exploring former underground military bases, crashing snobby jetset parties, drinking games or just the simplest things like walking through forests in the morning, sitting in the sun contemplating the horizon or exploring small bookshops.
