À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Make the most of every moment, seek beauty in everything/one.
ABOUT ME
My name is Alexandra and I am a kiwi from the sunniest region in New Zealand - better known as the home of Sauvignon Blanc wine; Marlborough.
Having just accepted a 2 month internship at a boutique winery in Oregon, I plan to surround this experience with as much exploration as possible.
I have aways loved planning and embarking on adventures since I was a kid. I grew up on a farm and my first journeys involved a school backpack, a tent and a block of chocolate. I would walk to the furthest point on the farm and set up camp until my dad would come and find me on the motorbike (usually before it even got dark. haha).
Post-high school, I embarked on 2 years travel throughout Europe, America and Morocco. I saw things beyond my imagination and met some soul-warming, unforgettable people - a lot of these encounters were as a result of couch surfing.
Besides travel and work, I love rowing competitively, running, photography, coffee with friends, watching the sun rise and set on the same day, camping, avocado and miso on toast, live and intimate music gigs........
PHILOSOPHY
I live for the moments that make you feel alive and a part of nature.
A run in the pouring rain, a quick dip in the ocean in winter, getting up to watch the sun rise and sleeping under the stars.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to learn about other cultures as well as creating an experience for others as has been done for me.
I love introducing people to my "neck of the woods".
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has changed the way I travel. It enables you to see places from someone elses perspective.
I believe that life experience and good friends make us far wealthier than money.
Centres d'intérêt
I love to stay fit (mostly by running, rowing or cycling), I am a pretty go-go-go person so really appreciate any down time for reading, baking, drawing and listening to music.
I loooove the sunshine and am not a big fan of being cold (apart from the perks winter brings of sitting by the fire and hearing the rain on the roof).
