Über mich
I'm from a small town in the northwest on the outskirts of Seattle. I'm a bit of a nerd always toying computers. I've spent a lot of time hiking the Olympic Mountains and during the first 22years of my 22year long life. I spent all that time on the north american continent. But on January 6th boarded a plane to Shanghai and since then I've traveled around China, Cambodia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand with a plan to head west until I find home again.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Hotels are expensive, I love the social aspect of Hostels but they tend to be crowded and I don't like having to always keep one eye on my stuff.
Interessen
Simple things keep me happy, I'm content just to pass through.... but this isn't really an answer so here it goes:
Traveling to new places: Getting to know new people as well as their culture and of course eating the delicious food of the world.
Backpacking: Preferably in Nature. The kind where you set out into the woods/mountains/deserts with all the food and water you can carry and hope you make it out the other side. (as opposed to the city hopping backpacking that's so common in Asia/Europe)
I've worked for a few classy restaurants over the years and developed a taste for fine wines particularly Cabernet Sauvignon & Pinot Noir
Nerd Stuff: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Desktop PCs, Breaking childrens toys so I can build the parts into some sort of robot :D

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I climbed up into a tree (30ft) and my brother cut it down with a chainsaw. No I did not consent but I wasn't really in a position to stop him.... Anyway! it was the most adrenaline filled 30 seconds of my life!!!
Aside from that I guess the runner ups are : climbing the Great Wall, seeing the Forbidden City and Angkor Wat....Etc,
oh all that and deciding in early December 2014 that I would sell everything and travel the world. 30 days later I boarded a plane and haven't looked back ever since.
