About Me

I was born in Italy, in the beautiful area of lake Garda, but since my teenagehood I wanted to travel and see the world.

I left Italy for the first time in 2009 to the Netherlands, then Spain and UK , where I was working as a hairdresser for years, looking for a succesfull carreer and planning to travel far one day.
So then one day a few years ago, I have decided to apply for an Australian visa and try the far away experience, which got delayed for a couple of years, giving me the chance to do some travelling around Europe and Mexico, and in the end it happened;
I'm now writing this from Townsville, Queensland and I have been in the country for two years, but the end of my visa is coming.

For my next travel I'm planning to hitch hike across Eurasia, from Kuala Lumpur to Italy.
I'm a friendly guy, easy to get along with and without many expectations, I enjoy spending time in the nature and go on a hiking or camping adventure but also chill and have a good meal at home or at a street market.
If you will host me, a little space will be enough for me, just somewhere to crash and plan my next move.
I'm happy to cook (and eat!), help in the house or the garden and even cut your hair if you will need it, I always carry my scissors.
I am into rock climbing since two years and I really enjoy it so I will be always keen to do some, my shoes and harness are with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm curious about meeting new local people in the places I go and I think CS makes it easier to experience the ways of living around the world.
I have been subscribed for years and didn't use it often, but with this travel I think it could make a big difference not only on making my budget last longer, but also improving the all journey for the reasons mentioned above.

Interests

I'm really keen to learn some words from your language, I find them all fascinating, and learn how to cook or bake something local would be amazing too.
I enjoy doing sports in general, mostly on mountains rather then in water, and I'm open to try new experiences like zip lining or bungee jumping if there wil be the chance; I definitely want to do as much climbing as possible, from bouldering to lead or top rope, better if outdoors so we can also get a beatiful view.
I like experiencing the nightlife too, as it shows the otherside of cities and towns around the world; people forget about working and become their more authentic selves.
