ABOUT ME
A proud to be British gentleman, some call me Wardy, others Alex, and occasionally Alexander.
I recently quit my job to take some time out to study and change career paths into the world of advising individuals and small businesses! I believe life is too short to be doing a job or an occupation that is not enjoyable. Too many people settle for less because its easier to do nothing. Challenging yourself is hard to do because it means change and means motivating yourself or thinking about what you actually want. This has been my overarching goal of the year and I've just treated myself to a short break in Northern Italy where I met some great people and tasted some amazing Italian food. I love to meet new people, experience different cultures by meeting locals and trying local and regional food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently living at home with the parents so unlikely to be able to host until I move out later this year into London. Give me a shout anyway just in case though!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First CS experience was in Turkey, I have sinced couchsurfed 6 times. An awesome experience, meeting real people who continue to be my friends and keep in touch with.
Interests
Love to play sport - I will attempt to turn my hand at most sports. I also enjoying teaching tennis - which I've done in upstate New York in the Adirondacks at a children's summer camp for 2 months which was great. Other sports I enjoy include Squash, Running, Rowing, kayaking, climbing.
I also enjoy cooking for friends/family and is one of my favourite things to do. You can usually find me in the kitchen cooking up a delight so may be able to help out here.
I also enjoy a good read or watch of a movie. Very much an outdoors person who loves the sunshine. Enjoy meeting new people and listening to stories. Also get great pleasure from just relaxing & people watching with a coffee or some tapas.
