ABOUT ME

I am a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder where I studied pre-Med. After graduating I spent ~2 years traveling/working in South America, Turkey, Croatia and all around Europe. I am currently living and working in New York City and have an apartment in Harlem. I'm a positive, energetic, and spontaneous person. I enjoy exploring new places, meeting new people and doing something unexpected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have traveled a lot over the past three years and the most enjoyable part has been meeting local people wherever I am. In Buenos Aires I lived with locals (porteños) and have learned infinitely more than I would have if I was staying in a hostel (not saying their not enjoyable though). I am a very sociable and easy-going person and love to meet new people!

Interests

I am an active person - I play various sports, bike, hike, gallivant, etc. I am an avid learner and love to experience new things. I am interested in public health and social entrepreneurship and wish to either go to medical school or start my own business. I love skiing, mountain biking, and want to get better at surfing (not just on couches).

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music is my favorite, pretty much any genre. I read anything that interests me - Nabokov, Steinbeck, Miller, Bukowski... Any movie will do, The Life Aquatic, Guardians of the Galaxy, Myazaki

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled around South America and moved to Buenos Aires. There I found an apartment, got a job, made an awesome group of friends and established a nice 'home away from home'.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning Spanish. I know how to do various sports but most importantly I like to learn new things with people. I just finished working at a children's camp in Croatia. I worked with kids from all over the world between 7-15 years old for ten weeks. I'm always open to trying new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a clean person, decent cook, courteous, love to have fun, know some decent jokes, and a lot of fun drinking games to play.
