About Me

I have been travelling and working around the world since 2012, and living in Thailand for the past 18 months working as a Scuba instructor on the island of Koh Tao.
Before starting my travels I opened a small Physiotherapy clinic specializing in sports and occupational soft-tissue rehabilitation, and have continued to treat peoples injuries along the way since then. My dream is to one day open my practice close to the beach!

I love being in or around the ocean as much as I can, playing any kind of sports, discussing the theory of relativity around a table or trying to recreate movies quotes in my hammock!

I'm currently on a mission to explore California with 3 of my best mates who all share my passion for meeting new people and having new experiences wherever we travel - hope this can be with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and to try and experience life a little more like a local than just a tourist - hotel rooms can sometimes suck my life away when I get to a new place!

Interests

If someone has a passion for something I find it infectious and thus I can find personal interest in any subject, however I am particularly fond of;

Chelsea Football Club

I played Rugby, Football, and Cricket for my home county in England, and recently won my first Muai Thai fight whilst living on Koh Tao (Thailand) - so any sports really!

Been playing Ukulele for the past 2 years on my travels so if you play an instrument I would love to jam out with ya and learn something new.

Love Cooking, in fact I would love to cook dinner for anyone kind enough to give me a place to stay, it is something I really enjoy as a social activity!

I have been riding motorbikes everyday for the past 2 years - obsessed with offroading, cruising, and admiring anything on two wheels!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Bob Marley, Jack Johnson, The Kooks, Lumineers, Jurassic 5, The Streets, Paolo Nutini...... I'm open minded to all music!

Movies - Anything that makes me laugh, inspires me, or makes me attracted to any of the cast!

Books - On The Road, The Alchemist, Autobiographies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010 with my little brother to raise money for a charity in my local town.

Without doubt one of the most incredible experiences of my life; when you sit on the top of a massive dormant volcano and the sun starts to break the horizon you start to feel pretty small and perspective changes immediately!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you -
about diving,
how to pass a football or rugby ball,
how to play the ukulele
how to speak English,
how to give a good sports massage,
about English culture and why we speak funny,
how to tie a "bow line" knot,
how to see the light side of life!!

I love to learn too - about everything and anything!
