About Me

I am a very open minded person. If I find out that I am wrong, I will accept it and embrace it. I feel myself as a citizen of the world. I really like to make friends with out any type of condition or prejudice. I am a very flexible and relaxed person. I am very difficult to get bored and very easy to get excited. For me almost anything is entertaining from trying to surf, going to a museum, drinking beer's in a pub, dancing in a bar or washing the dishes while listening good music. I enjoy good conversations and better one those that include laughter. I love to talk when is my turn and listen when the other one is talking. I'm the type of person who doesn't likes to use time unwisely. I like to start my day early to maximize it and do the most things possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been the best thing I've discovered since the invention of the wheel. It is the best way to get to know people around the world who have the same things in common: love to travel and to meet people. The reason I am on Couchsurfing is because I reached to the conclusion that I dislike common traveling, normal tourism. The best way to know a place is to live among its citizens, on a daily basis. Obviously visiting the highlighted places of a city is amazing but not as a tourist but as a citizen and this is only achivable with the people that live there. Hostels have a lot of good energy but hanging out with a local is for me the best option.

Interests

It is pretty difficult for me to define my interests in a very specific way, since I like most things. I love to learn new things (from physics theories to art) , thats my general interest. I am not a huge sport fan but sailing is my soul. The joy that sails gives me can noy be cuantified. Also scuba diving is my favorite "nature bonding" activity. I also love to walk, in a city or in the mountains, hiking is AWESOME. I have a huge interest on the sea, marine biology, airplanes, history, astronomy, book's, movies and the environment. I may not be an expert but as I stated before, learning by myself or learning from others is my biggest interest. Everyone has something to teach you, no matter the age, the country they come from or their ideologies.
There are a couple of things from my childhood that I could not stop loving like LEGO and dinosaurs.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I love music that cheers me up and makes me jump, JUMP. I have a wide spectrum of music genres I like. My favorite music depends on the situation. Mostly I listen to Rock and Punk bands such as (when hanging aroung, surfing the internet): AC/DC, Blink 182, Greenday, Good Charlotte, RHCP, 30 seconds to mars, Led Zepellin, The Clash, The Beatles, The Rollingstones, U2 ,and Aerosmith among others. Second mostly I listen to indie bands and indie electronic music. When I am studying I love listening to classical music (Bach, Vivaldi, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Motzart etc.), Jazz and Orchestral music.
BOOKS: I consider fantasy and science fiction to be my favourite literary genres. Being Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Michael Crichton, Gabriel García Márques and J.R.R Tolkien my favorite authors. I also love the universal literature such as R.L Stevenson, Jules Verne, among others. I love knights and sword warrios stories as I feel sometimes as a knight borned at the wrong time. I kind of enjoy lot of different types of books.
MOVIES: I have a lot of favorite movies. My favorite directos could be George Lucas (Star Wars fan off corrs), Peter Jackson (LOTR fan too), and Steven Spielberg. Science fiction, history and fantasy being my favorite genres. I dont like drama movies if they are not historic. I am very picky with comedies, I hate dumb american comedies but like more sarcastic, satiric and elegant comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

mmm...
I think that sailing a two person sailing boat with my best friend while pinguins swam and jumped next to us in Piriápolis, Uruguay. Winter time; and with my same friend but with dolphins in Cartagena's, Colombia bay.
-Also dived in a sand bank in Cartagena where Spanish colonial ships (XVI century) ships used to get stucked and got to see cannons and anchors of that time!
-Dived in complete darkness in Tayrona Park and had a closed enocounter with a big motherFu?+#$% eel.
-Hiking in Yosemite national park in California.
-Learned to sky with my norwegan best friend in a hill (not a resort) during night with a full moon at my back and nearly visible northern lights above a frozen lake... Valhalla.
-Took my mom to camp with me, so she could get another glimpse of life and not the boring city routine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could share with you my willingness to learn whatever you could teach me, what I so far know and stories that had happened. I also discover in my exchange that I love to cook so we could cook together if you like cooking or let me cook you something. I developed an experimental way of cooking that I call: "Fussion cuisine"(the name already existed) which consists of cooking something you dont now, you also don't know how it will end with the ingredients you got.
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Theodore Roosevelt --> cooking interpretation.
