Born and raised in Madrid but lived in Montreal (Canada) for some years. I currently work at University in teacher training and translation. I enjoy travel, meeting all sorts of people and, well - seeing life in different ways.

I like travel and travelers - especially independent travelers who like to converse. I'd also be happy to meet people in my hometown, Madrid, and show them around.

Interessen

Lots of interests. Mountain activities in general, especially skitouring in the Winter and hiking and trail running the rest of the year.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies: 1940s and 50s film noir. Series: Fargo, Bron/Broen, Sopranos, anything by Michael Schur.

Books: pretty much anything, from classics to contemporary thrillers. Favs are John Fante, Knut Hamsun, Borges, Henning Mankell, Raymond Chandler, Cortazar and Azorín. I also enjoy reading up on the history of the places I visit.

Music: better rock than commercial pop or electronic. Ok with jazz. Favs: Sublime, Ramones, Fugazi Beatles, late 70s punk and mod-revival, classic Jamaican ska.

I'm a teacher trainer. I'm passionate about education and would be most excited to meet teachers from other countries. I'm also happy discussing fiction, religion or philosophy.

Extensive knowledge of Madrid city and province. I am particularly knowledgeable of the Sierra de Guadarrama (our local mountain range), which is great for hiking, backcountry skiing or simply relaxing next to a creek or waterfall.

I've been teaching languages for years so can help you with your Spanish (or English or French).
