About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world to learn to appreciate this life to a greater extent than I already do.
Make people's day.
Find happiness purely through providing others with happiness.
ABOUT ME
Anything you want to know ask away.
I am interested in women's rights and gay rights although not being gay (nor a woman) myself. I worked with refugees for the Home Office for two years but quit in October 2014 due to conflicts the job brought with my moral ideals.
I enjoy the usual reading/writing/film/art to what I consider is the same context that anyone should invite such talents into their life.
I love festivals and a diverse array of music but my all time favourite are Fleetwood Mac.
More currently I'm loving Bonobo & some of my 90s kid favourites such as Squeeze, Beautiful South, Semisonic, Radiohead etc.
The Second favourite group are Talking Heads.
In the past enjoyed computer games a great deal but have finally grown away from them a bit. Notably spent a lot of time playing RuneScape (of course, I was the perfect age for it), and later League of Legends.
I love animals. Primarily house pets.
Basically all of them, but spiders aren't my thing, about the only one I can't do (I think).
PHILOSOPHY
There is always someone somewhere worse off than me, and therefore I have nothing to be down about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting and surfing! I try to be the kind of host that I would appreciate so much when I travel myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been a reasonably active member of the CS community for some time now, though haven't had a chance to use it that much recently.
I often use workaway and helpx to volunteer whilst I travel too.
Have met up with some other CSers along the way just for drinks and have found it a great comfort when travelling in areas of the world where I am less familiar.
Interests
I am interested in Human Rights, stemming from my work for the government with asylum seekers in the UK. This is my key passion and I hope to work in this field in the future whether through voluntary/paid work or research.
Also a particular favoured activity is writing ridiculous and usually inconsequential reviews on tripadvisor

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a keen reader of factual books (at present) about South Asia, somewhere I hope to one day reside though I don't know exactly where yet. I am presently on the move hunting for that place though.
I like films, particularly bad cinema because I find them funny. But also good films of course..
I don't want to list too many films I like as I fear many are a bit cliché.. But they're good films.. But I will say I love nature documentaries however do struggle with anything but Attenborough doing the narration!
I particularly enjoy political films, usually foreign political films, and speculative realistic political sci-fi films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent time on a farm in Romania learning how to live life without the benefits of the westernised world like having running water or Internet - AND LOVED IT!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to aid people in furthering their English skills in return for basics of other languages!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer hosts an easy going and open minded stance on the world, I am happy to openly discuss any topic. Sometimes I find I talk too much but I am also good at listening.
I also like to feel like I deserve the pleasure of staying with someone so am more than happy to help out with cleaning and cooking and every day chores about the house.
