About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people and expand my Horizons while emersing myself into the middle of other cultures

ABOUT ME

Well I love to travel first of all, I guess that's pretty redundent on here huh? That's pretty much what we all are on here for. Well, I am an out gay person I must say. I tend to be quiet and shy at first but after a couple hours I tend to let loose, well not the crazy loose! More about me, I am an outgoing, funny, charasmatic me. The one who is always looking at the bright side of things, unless under pressure LOL.
I love sports, American football and volleyball are two of my favorites. I also like rest of the world football (soccer lol), I enjoy hiking, biking, pretty much anything that can keep me going and energized. I also like to be with family and friends, go out and hang out. I guess overall I’m very eclectic when it comes to music, life, and me in general. I like to try things once and if I like I like it or not, and if I survived it (knock on wood). Hmmmmm I am not sure what else to say about myself here if you want you are more than welcome to ask, I'm an open book as many people know me as. Well, until then hope to meet all of you in my new home in Shenzhen, China (a whole new world)!!

PHILOSOPHY

"You must live life before life lives you" it's all about taking chances, if you don't take a chance and try it or put yourself out there then life has just taken control of you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gees, this is a hard question to answer. I guess there are so many things I have seen and done and to pick one is so hard since every place I have been to has been unique. I guess if i had to pick one it would be the one which had the greatest impact on my life and what I do. I travelled to South Africa when in college and visited the poorer side of Port Elizabeth. I was amazed with the attitude that existed in Africa about the black community and the seperation. Though meeting the people, visiting the schools and going into the communty to a church service ( am not a big church goer) but it all impacted me in a way that I just cannot forget. I saw that these people, through all the heartache and pain they have been through, they still managed to greet, treat and open their homes to us with so much enthusiasm that it did make me cry because they had so little to offer but they still managed to offer what they had. The kids were so overjoyed and excited to be around us and to talk to us, it was an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess from my travelling experinces I can share the good and bad points of places I have been too. I can also share how to get around those places on a low budget. I can also share opportunities I can provide as far as summer jobs ( I work for a company which usually needs teachers in the summer in the UK and Germany).

What I Can Share with Hosts

My knowledge and expertise of the city that I live in. Also the most sincere help to make sure they have a great time while visiting. Can also share my bed if it comes down to it. hahaha Lastly, I can share my cooking skills, I am not the best but I do LOVE cooking, so learning new dishes is great, but I am always willing to share what I eat hahaha.
