About Me

Hi! My name is Alfredo. I was born and raised in Guatemala City, lived for a season in Lake Atitlán and then moved back to the city.

I love to discover new places, people, food and experiences. I work in digital advertising through Social Media as a freelancer and a stay-at-home-dad.

What I like the most when traveling is finding small vinyl music shops. That's because my life is driven by music and music is the most easy and accesible way to discover new cultures, sounds and textures form any time and any part of the world.

I'm a relaxed long haired "dude" who looks way younger than I actually am who wants to become a writer one day, enjoy cold beers and good talk and love everything I said above.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I ALWAYS travel in a very tight budget and friends suggest me this is a good way to save some bucks. Besides, sometimes I travel by myself and is always better to ask someone local than to strangers or in Internet forums.

Plus, who better to share what is to live in certain place than some who lives there? And so far I've met travelers from different countries, cultures and beliefs than mine which ALWAYS make a good story.
